Helen Keller Intl, is a nonprofit organization working in health and nutrition in Nepal since 1988 to improve the nutritional status of women and young children through evidence-based research and programs. Helen Keller invites applications from qualified, eligible Nepali entities to conduct and manage the data collection and management, including hiring, training, coordinating, and overseeing enumerators for qualitative study on operational feasibility in Nepal.
Assignment Overview
Helen Keller International (Helen Keller Intl), intends to issue a professional service contract for the qualitative data collection part of the study entitled, “Adherence and Product Acceptability of Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) among Pregnant and Lactating Women in Nepal: Protocol for a Set of Four Mixed Method Studies”. This RFP focuses on a qualitative study assessing the operational feasibility of integrating Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) into antenatal and postnatal care (ANC/PNC) across all provinces in Nepal. The study will collect qualitative data from ANC/PNC providers, Female Community Health Volunteers, and policymakers in all provinces to understand their perspectives on MMS implementation. The selected research entity will collaborate with the Helen Keller study team to finalize study methodologies, including FGDs, IDIs, and other participatory methods (i.e., pile sorts, free listing, and narrative inquiry). They will develop SOPs, train interviewers, and ensure that data collection adheres strictly to protocols and ethical guidelines. The entity will manage data transcription in local languages, translate transcripts to English, and collaborate on qualitative data coding.
Tentative duration: The consultancy service will span over 4 months from date of signing.
