Helen Keller International is an International non-profit organization (INGO) works to improve the sight and lives of the vulnerable by combatting the causes and consequences of blindness, poor health, and malnutrition through public health approaches, building the capacity of organizations, and contributing to policy changes through systems strengthening and operations research.
Helen Keller International (HKI) hereby announces call for Consultants to develop audio/videos for the Transforming Lives Through Nutrition (TLTN) Project in Nepal. The Consultants will be supported by TLTN program team and IEC/BCC expert of Helen Keller International, Nepal.
Background:
Transforming Lives Through Nutrition Project is being implemented in 43 municipalities of 4 districts of Lumbini province in consortium of Helen Keller International and iDE. This project is dedicated to improve nutrition status of women and under 5 years of children and focuses on breastfeeding, Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and acute malnutrition management. In the project implemented districts, TLTN project support the GON in expanding malnutrition treatment and management services. In particular, the project will address acute malnutrition with focusing on good nutrition behavior.
Tentative duration:
The Consultancy period to this contract is for 15 days beginning from November 1, 2024
Educational qualifications and experiences:
- At least Bachelor’s degree in development communication, videography, development studies, journalism, or equivalent degree.
- S/he must have more than 3 years of working experience in videography development and/or video story collection in development field with a record of providing high-quality and creative video documentary and case stories.
- S/he must have prior work experience with or working for I/NGOs and well familiar with development and humanitarian programs/issues.
- Se/he must have skills and experience in video editing, digital animation, and designing contents for social media and websites.
- S/he must have experience in developing a storyline in both Nepali and English languages.
Key Deliverables:
- The consultant will develop script of the audio/video’s material in coordination with TLTN and government team in breastfeeding and MAM management.
- Facilitate workshop on Audio/Video Production to finalize script and the field sites, and timeline.
- Draft two video copies for Helen Keller International’s review and inputs
- A copy of final videos in high resolution, the consultant will provide two; one minute each audio/video based on the script.

The Consultant/consulting firm must include their legal registration documents along with the VAT/PAN registration and a sample of their best work indicating their interest for consultancy.
